What is the Madtown Throwdown Q4 event?
The Madtown Throwdown Q4 is an Warhammer Underworlds Event to be held at Noble Knight Games in Madison, WI hosted by the What The Hex Podcast. If luck is with us, it may even be a Gnarlwood kick-off event!
The format will be the new Nemesis format. Four rounds. Best of one. New players encouraged and just like our previous events, we’ll have extra warbands, dice, and boards available if you need them.
Come throw down!
If OP kits are out, we plan to have one. If not- we still have “legacy” glass to give away, so you’ve still got a trophy to show for it. There will also be prizes for best painted, best sports, and maybe a little something just for showing up.

What is Nemesis?
Nemesis is the new format for Warhammer Underworlds that encourages players to add just a pinch of spice to their warband’s deck by allowing players to mix in cards from a single 32 card pack known as a Universal Rivals Deck (see Deck Construction below). The format is meant to be an approachable introduction to deckbuilding for players.
Note: This format was previously referred to by a few unofficial names including “Rivals Plus” and “Warlords”.
Event Rulings
We will be using all the latest Designer Commentary and Errata.
The beta rules will be in effect for Zarbag’s Gitz, The Exiled Dead and Morgok’s Krushas.
All releases on or before 29 Oct 2022 will be valid for use.
The Essentials Pack will not be considered a valid deckbuildng option (see Deck Construction)
Deck Construction
When building your deck, you can include cards from your Warband’s Rivals Deck (the cards with your warband’s symbol on them) and cards from one Universal Rivals Deck of your choice from the list below. In addition, the Forsaken and Restricted lists are not used in this format.

The power deck must include at least 20 power cards. It can include any number of additional power cards. No more than half of the deck can be gambit cards.
The objective deck must include at least 12 objective cards. It can include any number of additional objective cards. It cannot include more than 6 surge objectives.
