Muhle Privateers - Kharadron Overlords Gunhauler - Aether Haulers

Descriptions

These two fine ships are the Muhle Aether Haulers, currently flown by tiny-dwarf pilots, but I’d like them to be halflings. Shaped like soda cans, these two ships break off from the Ironclad, suck up a bunch of aether, and then dock with it again to transfer payload. Equipped with an aether canon and some aether bombs, these light ships are capable of defending themselves when away from the main armada.

Build

The main body was pretty simple to imagine. Vince Venturella also imagined ships using these bits. the hard part was making it feel like it could fly. I put the ‘fan’ cover on the back and added a wing-shaped bit to help with steering. Here are the parts that went into this Kit

  • 40k Sector Mechanicus terrain for main body, front canon, and flight stand.

  • 40k Ork Dakka-Jet cockpits, panels, gretchin/grot gunners, bombs, etc.

  • Gyrocopter tiny duardin heads

The base was created using some earthy debris, and cable conduit cut in half and glued down to feel like buried aether pipes.

Paint

To signify that they belong to the Muhle, they have a combination paint job reminiscent of Old World Britonnian heraldry, but used haphazardly as they painter deemed fitting. The solid blues and the checked yellow, and the dark red nose that will likely have the Muhle wheel logo on it.

I would love to get back to these guys someday.
